Google Transit debuts, furthering the beta-beta-beta software frat party

Google quietly debuted a new service that integrates mass transit scheduling and ticketing into its existing Google Maps system. It gives you cost and time comparisons between driving and using subway/trains/buses for a given route at any given time of day. This is truly awesome. Unfortunately, the current release only covers the Portland, Oregon metro area, further fueling the beta obsession Google is renowned for.
When's NYC coming online!?
